Good Ol’ Amazon

Aloha, Gang:

Just a quick note for anyone who uses Amazon’s “Look Inside” feature to read book excerpts. For I Am To Tell You This And I Am To Tell You It Is Fiction, the Kindle version works just fine. But today, I had them dismantle the paperback version, which was completely different from the Kindle. In fact, the paperback version spoiled the ending and made the entire book look like something it is not. Two kinda huge problems.

As of now, if you want to read excerpts, click on the Kindle version. If you want to buy the Kindle version, I was alerted to the fact (thank you, alerter person) that it isn’t available on all Kindle devices because it is a print replica. (It has to be. I cannot change this due to some of the image-heavy content.)

Sorry for any inconvenience this is causing ya, folks…

Why Haven’t Alien Abductions Looked Futuristic In Decades

Hey, here’s something cool. Toward the end of 2019 I left myself a bunch of notes for essays I could write to explore some alternative possibilities involved with alien abductions that I wanted to use here in the lead-up to the release of my book, I Am To Tell You This And I Am To Tell You It Is Fiction. Clearly, I forgot all about them as I published the book last week with very little lead-up. So, now I’ve got some tidbits to write over the coming weeks. I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments. Let’s start here….

Were he alive today, I wonder if Carl Jung would conclude that alien abductions are archetypal encounters, or folkloric world-building, for our forward-thinking age. If so, would he view continuity errors like antiquated technology and filthy “operating rooms” as evidence that the interface between the human collective unconscious…

‘I Am To Tell You This And I Am To Tell You It Is Fiction’ Is Out Today!

Aloha, Gang!

I am thrilled to announce that my new book is here! The Kindle version is out right now, with the paperback coming really soon–perhaps as soon as later today.

Whether you want to learn insanely deep things about life and your place in it, find new directions to explore in alien abduction and related research topics, or just plain have a laugh on a journey of no-self discovery in post-nondualism (wait, is that plain?), I Am To Tell You This And I Am To Tell You It Is Fiction is here for you right now on the Kindle!

Buy it. Share it. Speak it. Rate it. Review it. Let the world know there is a book out there more interesting than intergalactic NAFTA and deeper than wondering if we’re living in a computer simulation.

I Am To Tell You This… on Sept. 15th

Ze book. She launches September 15th, no?

And so the next JayVay entry about said book will be one o’ them youtube morsels that looks like an author in conversation answering questions, but will really just be me talking to you. I’ll talk around what the book is about—and how it came about—without spoilers. And then you’ll get super psyched about it and will be dying to buy it. But then you’ll remember that we’re heading into a depression and you have no money. But then you’ll also remember that dire situations like these never stop you from buying other crap you don’t need and you’ll buy it anyway.

That’s if you’re American. If you live anywhere else in the world, you’re probably doing fine.

And then—wherever you are—I will thank you. In fact, let me thank you now. Thanks!

Here’sanother tidbit that didn’t make…

Book Update Again… For The First Time

Great news, everybody. In the last book update post I said I was waiting for a certain someone to review my book before I announced a release date. This is the only person I know who (sorry, everyone else) is qualified to tell me whether the book works or not because he gets the nuances, the humor, and the depths of all the subjects addressed.  Whelp, after reading only half the book—not even the good half!—he has decided he wants to do me five better and write a foreword to it. Quite the honor for yours truly, so it was a quick yes on my part.

Fear not. I am still on schedule in my beady brain to publish this decorative art piece disguised as a ufological book in September. Originally, I wanted to release it at the end of August, but September was always more realistic. Barring any…

New Book Update

Aloha, Readers of Me:

First off, thanks for sticking around all these years, especially when this site has been crickets. I’m mainly focusing my creative efforts on — which is now open to the public, by the way, in case you didn’t get the memo. But I’m also intent on releasing my new book on “alien abduction” and related high strangeness phenomena by… the end of the month?

That was the plan. Still is. However, I guess I should have planned better for that because there is a joke early in the book about a certain person reviewing said book who I then had to ask to review it and pray to the gods in all directions he’d say yes. He said yes. He’s reviewing it now. I hope he will be able to get to it by the end of the month, but if not I am willing…

Of Cesspools And Rabbit Holes

This is something I’d likely have done as a Paratopia solo show back in the day. –The Jer

Why do so many of us partake in dark, nonsensical conspiracy theories like QAnon? How can we tell the difference between false and genuine mystery? Would this be an issue if our culture had myths and rights of passage?
